Bail plea by rape accused dismissed in Bhaderwah | KNO

BHADERWAH,NOV 20 (KNO) : The Sub Judge Bhaderwah dismissed a bail application by a rape accused, saying it was not a fit case for relief.Accused Fareed Ahmed s/o Ghulam Rasool r/o Drondi Bhalla , Bhaderwah had sought bail on the ground that the police of police station Bhaderwah has registered a false and frivolous case and the petitioner is innocent and he is ready to furnish bail bond and personal bond to the satisfaction of the court . Senior Prosecuting officer JMIC Bhaderwah Tamoor Jangir for the state urged during the course of argument that the offence committed by the accused is serious and heinous in nature and accused can not claim bail as a matter of right and the investigation is still in progress . He further urged that there is every apprehension that the accused will jump over the bail bond and leave the jurisdiction of court , if he be enlarged on bail at this stage and accused will certainly hamper the investigation and temper with the prosecution evidence and L/Sr PO prayed for the rejection of bail on this ground also that accused will misuse the concession of bail . Dismissing the bail application, Sub Judge Bhaderwah Renu Dogra Gupta said that keeping in view the facts before him, the accused did not deserve to be set free on bail and the bail application is dismissed (KNO)
